Focus on one thing only: your performance. If you watch athletes or racing drivers just before a race begins, you will see a kind of inward gaze – they have ‘turned off’ all distractions and are focusing all of their attention on their coming performance. This is what you want.
Because you’ve done your rehearsal, you can deliver your performance without thinking. It’s too late to be worrying about the detail of your performance or wondering if you will remember your lines. If you start to think like this, you become a spectator of your own performance and stop inhabiting your role. Turn off your self-critical faculties for the same reason. Just perform.
